![]() ![]() We had asked 4 times to our server who kept promising it was coming, instead of actually checking on it. My only complaint is that we waited over an hour to get our food, apparently our food was sent to another table. We opted to share some kabobs for the table and went with a lamb, shrimp, and sirloin kebab platter (there were 3 of us). We ordered a bunch of dips to start, labne and whipped feta & pistachio were my fave, but you can't go wrong with the hummus either. The vibe here was great, people genuinely seemed to have a good and lively time here. I really loved this restaurant - I came here with coworkers for post work dinner and drinks. We highly recommend this Via Carota to anyone wanting a five-star dining experience for incredible Italian cuisine in New York. The food was excellent, though we felt the pasta carbonara and tagliatelle was a bit salty that could just be personal preference. Alison also was an excellent waitress from the fact that she knew the menu extremely well, including the specials of the day, and she could without falter explain every ingredient in-depth with an obvious, true understanding of the dishes she was selling. As expected, the service was top-notch our waters were never low, and our waitress, Alison, consistently (but not overbearingly) checked in with us to make sure everything tasted good and to make sure we didn’t need anything. We got our text less than 30 minutes later. That told me that they value quality of service rather than getting the tables filled regardless of whether or not they have the servers to wait them. This, to my boyfriend and me, was indicative of their excellent service that was to come: the restaurant was half full, yet they still were on a wait. The friendly host (didn’t get his name) said there would be about a 30-minute wait and we would receive a text when the table was ready. My boyfriend and I stopped in to see if they could accommodate us for lunch, though we didn’t have any reservations. I will definitely return every single time I'm in NYC! I wish I had the option to post the many videos I took that night. Honestly, I could not have created a better birthday party for myself had I tried! The pictures do not give this place the justice it deserves. The vibe in this restaurant was so much fun and I could not have picked out a better place to have my birthday dinner. Our food came out pretty quickly considering they were fully packed with a long line outside the door. Plenty of food choices for different types of customers. Their food options varied from breakfast items, nachos, burgers and my nephew actually was able to order their 'Beyond Meat' burger for vegans. We sat right at the catwalk in the center of the restaurant where the singers mainly performed. Once my son and I arrived, my nephew was at the front of the line already and the hostess was able to seat us as soon as we joined my nephew in line. My nephew arrived first and was able to stand in line for us because it was definitely packed. I was there on the night of my birthday on and was with my son & nephew.
